I have the following problem: the faults seem to alternate very randomly from cylinder to cylinder. First, I had a fault on cylinders 1 and 2. Then I installed new spark plugs and swapped the ignition coils from cylinders 1 and 2 with those from 3 and 4. Then the fault persisted on cylinder 1. Next, I swapped the injector from cylinder 1 with the one from cylinder 2; there was no fault for a while, but then I started having faults again on cylinders 1, 2, and 3.
This all alternates very randomly. Furthermore, I only have problems when the engine is cold and idling; once the engine is warm, it runs perfectly and I have no problems.
That's why I'm wondering: could it be something other than the ignition coil or injector? Does anyone have experience with this or suggestions on where I can look next?
